Players guide successive Wayfinders through prehistoric wilderness, medieval kingdoms, industrial revolution, post-apocalyptic wastelands, and far-future mysticism. Each era presents unique challenges, technologies, and narratives, while the mystical Book of Knowledge passes between characters, preserving discoveries and creating a continuous chronicle of survival.
